Children’s Liturgy of the Word

 Welcome to our  Ministry

Children’s Liturgy of the Word     “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

Dear Parents,

We invite you and your children, ages 4-7, to participate in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word.

The Children’s Liturgy is a special part of our 9:30 am Sunday Mass in Gibbstown.

The children are invited by Father after the Opening Prayer to follow the Prayer Leader to the lower level of the convent (next door). The children return to their families at the time of the Presentation of the Gifts.

This ministry has been in place since before the merger of the three parishes. It gives the children an opportunity to understand the Gospel message and participate in the Eucharistic celebration at their own level. This ministry is not to teach, but to enrich the children’s participation in Mass. We seek to show each child that they are important to God.

Having the children attend the Children’s Liturgy is a wonderful way of preparing them for their upcoming Sacraments. Parents are always invited and encouraged to come with their children, and experience the Gospel on their level.

We look forward to seeing more of our young children join us on Sunday morning; for the Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Please feel free to e-mail or call us 856-467-0037 ext.113  or e-mail fgattuso@stclarenj.org to find out more about this Ministry.

Many Blessings,
